The trail

The girls have taken to running to the fenceline whenever the two neighbor girls are in the backyard. Willa runs over and starts to bark and the older girl, I think she's about 7, always says "Hello puppies!" Willa instantly stops barking and wags her tail. Sometimes she even gets a pet or two through the fenceline. They girls have been making this run enough that today I'm seeing a trail under the bushes to the fence. Kinda cute but the yard is going to need a lot of help next spring. It's been so dry I feel like I should water but does dormant grass need water? There are places that the dirt is starting to show from repeated puppy antics. Yard is looking pretty sad.
