Men In Wittmoor

My husband and his Dad went wandering through the local nature preserve this evening as the sun was setting. They each toted devices for viewing the marsh wildlife: my FIL had fancy, powerful binoculars and hubby his telephoto lens. I tagged along for fresh air and exercise. They were excited to spot a large endangered crane that's come back to nest in the region. They haven't seen them here in a couple years. Otherwise, it was fairly quiet out there tonight - not much food to be found in the frozen tundra that should by now be bursting with fresh vegetation and signs of new life. I think we'll all be glad when winter finally retreats and spring erupts in full bloom.
