Maritime heath

Lichen and moss and heather along the top of the cliffs. 
Orkney has huge areas of maritime heath, much of which is protected as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).  Sitting and looking at it close up, is fascinating. Providing you are well wrapped up against the weather!
