Sketrick Island

A gorgeous day for a drive down to Daft Eddie’s for lunch. I travelled with the Ards Man down to the beautiful inlets and islands of the western side of Strangford Lough, where we parked the car and walked by the shore along to the light ship.

I nearly blipped it instead, but thought that this view from our table in Daft Eddie’s restaurant would be good as part of my role as unofficial tour guide to the joys of N Ireland!

This beautiful area is just a thirty minute drive from home and has lots of lovely eateries. In fact, blipper sharon_mckelvey and I will be getting together near here in about a week’s time for a mini blipmeet!

It’s on days like this that I really appreciate retirement.
