Sushi

We went to the next town over for sushi, and this new mural was on the storage room behind the patio. Apparently it is a work in progress, because the artist pulled up in his truck and went through an elaborate process of assembling a scaffold, laying down a dropcloth, filling some buckets with water from the spigot near our table, arranging and rearranging the stuff in the bed of the truck, all of it in slow motion. He changed his shirt. He put on knee pads. Then he carefully stepped over to the mural, moved the scaffolding aside, and delicately removed two small pieces of masking tape from an area near the waves.  It was like watching Charlie Chaplin. I'll have to wait til we need another round of sushi before I learn if anything ever changed on the mural.

It was lovely sitting in the sun, and our lunch was quite good. It's a local place where they make everything from scratch. My favorite today was the agedoshi tofu.

Then we went home and swam in Verizon/Comcast hell for way too long as we tried to shift accounts around. It is so astonishing to me that these companies can continue to do business in such a cruel and inefficient way. It was so bad, we had to get a pizza and a beer to recover.
