The calm before ...

Given the forecast, I decided to rescue a few snowdrops lest they are all shredded in the gales.   Nine varieties still in flower ... actually there are ten but one has just two flowers and I'm hoping for seed from that one!

A busy sort of day.  Routine vet trip with Jamie and Bella then helped Jamie with his 'garden.'   He's bought a huge plastic planter, big enough to take 80 litres of compost.   It's now set on slabs and bricks outside his living room window.  He can open the window wide and reach his garden from indoors.   It's also weighted down with large rocks inside at the bottom and now full of watered compost.   Unwatered compost would blow away .... followed by the pot if the forecast is correct!

This afternoon Ruth returned from Birmingham with her mum who has come to visit Jamie.   She's been very busy packing and promptly fell asleep for a couple of hours.   Meg and I used the time for a long ball chasing session and to pick up two DVD players offered on the local free/buy/sell page.  One each for Jamie and I if all is well with them..

And now we wait for Eunice.
