Our road!

I took this on our way up to Sydney....and have just emailed the roads department giving them this image....and a strong word or two!

It was an exciting day that's for sure.   first thing this morning i got in touch with our travel agent - long story short, the only way for us to get a package to Cuba for the end of March, was with Air Canada and we have to go thro Toronto!   Not such a big deal and it has it's advantages.  Usually we drive to Halifax (about 4 hours) and have to stay in a hotel on the return journey cos we arrive at 2.00 am.   so the good news is that we can go from Sydney, an hour away.....and we return to Sydney at midnight so we are ok to just drive home.   the only bad news is we have to be up at the airport at 3.30 am!!!!   not so much fun, but the other side of this is that we will arrive in Cayo Coco around 5pm...just in time for dinner and a walk on the beach!  I'm thrilled.

Then other good news: we got our car back with working windshield wipers....woo hoo.   So we decided to go to Sydney for dinner and celebrate.   We've been pretty well house bound for about a week....except for the day we did go out in the truck and then got stuck :P

so all is well now!
