Songbird

Little dogs and large crowds simply don't mix in my view (which is about 14 inches high) and so it was today when The Bossess declared A DAY OFF and decided we would all go to Arrowtown for a nice quiet day of R and R. For international followers Arrowtown is on the other side of the hill closer to Queenstown and is very popular with photographers at this time of year 'Cos of the wonderful colours.
Surprise surprise it was the Arrowtown annual festival and our quiet day was to be shared with a cast of thousands, parades, aerial displays, fire engines, noise, people , other dogs and general chaos so it was little surprise that I was as jumpy as a terrier. Oh...I am a terrier too so that must be really bad. At the height of proceedings The Boss was attracted by the beautiful sounds that this young lady was making with her guitar and voice so we stopped and listened. As he attempted to take shots with his big lens I was soothed by her singing. It was lovely and she played a very cool harmonica as well which was even more soothing. I could have listened all day but The Bossess was on a mission to the nearest Coffee shope. Songbirds don't rate with caffeine and shopping it seems.
Sigh

Oh and the colours were too....Coloured that is. So we may be back tomorrow.
