Ovenden Moor

There was a fierce wind on top of the moor today, although the milder conditions made it bearable.

Looking ten kilometres across Airedale to the south west, over the top of Wilsden and Denholme, the Ovenden Moor wind farm was catching the early morning sun. Perhaps no other issue divides environmentalists so much as wind farms. I appreciate the northern upland landscape, but also the beauty and purpose of these structures dancing in the sunlight.
