Oh joy of joys!

This gorgeous bird spent quite a bit of time carrying out a full structural survey on the birdbox in our front garden today. This involved lots of to-ing and fro-ing and robust drilling around the hole in a fair imitation of a woodpecker. Meanwhile Mrs Nuthatch sat around watching his antics with a degree of amusement as she manicured her nails and fluffed up her hair-do.

They eventually disappeared off - no doubt to talk it over between themselves after checking with the Building Society Manager whether a mortgage would be on the cards for this property.

Oh - I do hope it is ........................
