The Cemetery gate

Today has been a day of shutting doors.
I have found shutting this particular door especially painful and difficult to do, so....
Today's Blip is a view of the cemetery gate in Southwater near Horsham. I was struck by the fact that if I took the picture carefully the gate would be in focus, but the cemetery behind would remain as a bit of a blur. I guess this is like life and death, gates and doors.We can visualise our life now as eveything in focus up to the gate, but we can't quite visualise what lies beyond.
As a christian, the whole idea of a spring garden lit by the late afternoon sun seems to appeal.
