Hilltop orchids

I enjoyed a lovely, sunny afternoon walk over the hill. I hadn't been up there for a while, and found the furthest meadow was a mass of wild flowers - lots of buttercups, clover and birds foot trefoil, a huge number of grasses, a few things I couldn't identify, and suddenly these wonderful orchids, standing tall above the grass. I had only taken my compact camera, so lacked control of depth of field, but was pleased to find the close up focus was reasonably good; I will try to get back up there next week with the proper camera and concentrate on flower photos. I've not got round to looking up exactly what these are, and can't stop now, but will try to add a note later. Thank you Miranda for hosting the wild flower weeks.
