Opinion is divided on the new glass lift at the bottom of the port steps in Mahon. The 300 or so steps can be a bit challenging on a hot day, especially if you have a dodgy leg and brain, but I haven't cared for my two trips in the moving transparent box. It just looks wrong - or who disagrees?
Extra is the view from behind the tax office in Mahon, on a trip there for a "digital signature" for appending to official documents. The crumbling cliff face has been shored up a number of times, but those big buildings on top don't inspire confidence...
