Bruno Maffei

Meet Bruno, the French cycling traveller who has spent the past 30-odd years peddling around Europe. He was passing my house after cycling up Marford Hill, so we got chatting and I bought him some coke and a sandwich whilst he had a well earned rest. He’d come from Scotland and was making his way through Wales and eventually to Bristol. No reason why, just because.

Language barriers meant we spoke through photos and hand gestures, but it was great. He was as eccentric as they come! If we didn’t have visitors at the time I would’ve let him use our shower, but he seemed happy enough with the ham & cheese sarnie.
