Northern Isles Day 4

We headed off for a walk round Heoga Ness where we were attacked by both midges and Arctic Terns. But we did see an otter - hurrah! The thrift was carpeting the walk. Then we walked up Heights of Ramnageo where we saw these fulmars on the steep cliffs. The walk was only just over 4 miles.

Luckily we got back just before the rain started. We are snug in our van now by the marina at Burravoe where we’ll stay another night before moving across Yell tomorrow.

I’m reading The Offing by Benjamin Myers. I think he’s pretentiously poetic and the pages-splattering of adjectives gets on my nerves. Nice food descriptions though!
