Florida Love Bugs travel together

A serious road hazard? (yes!) Love Bugs are black flies with red thoraxes, and are most often seen flying in mated pairs, male and female joined together. This photo I took as they landed on the table outside as I was just finishing breakfast; the splash of color on the left is what remains of my fruit juice on a clear plexiglass tray!
