Spinnaker

17 degrees, blue skies, lunch outdoors near the water at Gunwharf Quays, marvellous. The chef prepared me the wrong main course and so I got the right one free! Not a bad lunch all round.

This is the well known Spinnaker tower, and the restaurant where we had lunch. I've blipped the tower before, 170 metres above the Harbour and Solent, dominating everything for miles around. They say it's taller than the London Eye, Blackpool Tower and Big Ben. It opened in 2005 after many delays, cost rises and council resignations, but the lift is out of order more often than it works. A very expensive landmark.
