Solace Day 7 - Trentham

When we arrived back at the marina yesterday the toilet pump-out machine was out of order. That meant that we had to hang around today to get the job done before we went off for the day.

Kat bought us all tickets for Trentham Gardens online but when we arrived after lunch we saw a notice saying today we would have to be out by 3pm! That didn't give us enough time for a meal and a good look around. Kat was told she could only apply for a refund online.

Deciding that the refund would probably be given, we abandoned the visit to the garden and looked around the retail centre. Seeing the shop of the wirework fairy makers will have to wait for another visit when we can access the gardens. I had some retail therapy by buying myself a nice floral dress, something I rarely do. Then we had lunch at Pieminister - mushroom and asparagus pie with gravy and mash - fabulous!

Our next stop was at the Monkey Forest where we saw Barbary macaques living wild in the trees. It was so nice to know that the organisation is doing a lot to assist conservation work of this endangered species in their native countries.
