Harvest Festival

Church this morning and our harvest festival. Being a town parish, most of our congregational gifts are in tins and packets. This display though is more traditional and I thought it beautiful. We have some very talented people in our congregation, the mouse reflects the one on our Paschal Candlestick which was made in Yorkshire in, the workshop of theMouseman Robert Thompson. The gifts were all delivered to the local foodbank and flowers to our elderly and housebound members.
We had a soup and bread and cheese lunch afterwards in the hall, which was well attended.
A quiet afternoon and evening auer my hectic week, or at least that is the plan. Covid and flu jabs tomorrow so paracetamol and ibuprofen prophylaxis will be the order of the day.
