Tattered but unbowed

I had given up on the rudbeckia this summer as it appeared to have disappeared, then there it was.  It's tatty and there are only five flowers but it's a welcome splash of colour on a gloomy day.

It's been a full on day with 24 000 steps, to Saltaire for my recorder lesson, to Wilsden for my dental check up and then an evening Green Action Group meeting in the village.  Glad to rest now.
