Gillipaw's Journal

Pythons at Doune

We didn't see any shrubberies, or hear Knights saying "Ni", but we did hear clattering coconuts.

Doune Castle, location for the film "Monty Python and The Holy Grail". Shame Historic Scotland can't spell the one of the directors' names correctly - it should be Terry Gilliam.

Our niece was married in the Great Hall here six years ago and we'd never returned for a proper look around until today. Really enjoyed it, especially the audio tour included in the entry fee. Narrated by Terry Jones, with Python soundtracks and info in each room about the scenes and set ups.
