Lake Secord

Lake Secord is near Uxbridge, Ontario. The Lake was named after Dr. Secord a veterinarian who owned some land north east of Toronto. He understood the close relationship between people and their pets and how hard it was when the pet passed away, so he created a pet cemetery on part of his property. The cemetery is surrounded by woods and the lake is beside it. There are walking paths around the lake and through the woods. There is an abundance of wild life there from fish, frogs, rabbits, hawks and a large assortment of song birds. We have two cats buried there and when we visit them we also take a leisurely walk around the lake and grounds. Today was a beautiful day to visit there, we heard the frogs singing, saw a hawk soaring in the sky and swans swimming in the lake. A beautiful and peaceful place to be!
