Life with The Pinks

Sunshine and Smiles

It's been a fabulous bank holiday Monday. Lots of sunshine, and lots of smiles.

I got some sewing done this morning while Mr Pink took the mini pinks to Miss Pink's swimming lesson. I am working on a playmat for a fellow blipper and I'm desperately trying to get it finished.

When the others got home, the mini pinks headed straight out to the new playhouse. They are loving it. We've moved the toy cooker in there and they took pillows and blankets out too. And best of all, it's big enough for me to get in to join in the fun!

While the mini pinks played, Mr Pink and I packed up some picnic, and got the suncream out, ready to go and meet our friends and their children at Holywells Park in Ipswich.

When we finally got there - we got lost on the way - the mini pinks were very very excited. The park is quite small, but it has a fab play area with a massive spider web type climbing frame, a pirate ship, and a splash park. Master Pink wasted no time and climbed to the very top of the huge climbing frame (I took a photo, but then had to stop looking as I was worried he'd fall!!). Miss Pink enjoyed the pirate boat and the "surfboards", and the smaller area with a small climbing frame with a slide. She really wanted to go in the water, so after a bit of picnic and a bit more play, she got changed and went in for some splashing! Master Pink joined her, and they had a literal blast!
Another family arrived as the children were in the splash park, including Miss Pink's friend J. The two girls adore each other, and they always play really well together and today was no exception. They had tea parties, (J's clever mummy had brought a teaset to play with) and played on the pirate ship and the see-saw together. Where one went, the other followed. They are so very cute together.
It's been a good day, and the next time we all meet up as a group one of the families will be a family of four instead of three. Exciting times.
