Sally Mair - Loving life

Ghoulies and Ghosties

Hope you all hear a fun Halloween with lots of guisers and no trick or treaters!
Today's collage has me with Katy, Eilidh and Isobel, I've trimmed their pals off. They went out around their neighbours this evening doing their party pieces and came home with lots of fruit and sweeties. The last picture is of Pickle, safely at home and cuddling up to one of Marvin's toys which Josie hsd given to her. She has settled back very well.
The painters were here just before 8 and have got stuck in really quickly, they have left everything very tidily at the end of the day, which is always a good sign. They'll be here for around a couple of weeks they think. They now have their own keys though, so apart from tomorrow morning when the scaffolding arrives, we should not need to get up and let them in.
I looked after Josie for a couple of hours after lunchtime today which was fun as usual, she plays really happily in her playpen with minimal input. Such fun to watch.
I came home and made a couple of chicken casseroles one for us and one for Ali and family. I remember how hard it was fitting in cooking as well as working and looking after a baby.
I contacted the orthopaedic physio team this afternoon about my wrist which has become extremely painful. Even although it's 5 months since I was last in touch with them I am still an active case apparently and they are going to refer me to the specialist hand team at the Western which is nice and convenient. I do hope they can help me to ease it a little.
This evening we had bridge and to my delight at won. Always gives me a boost. We're just a small but very friendly club.
Thanks for all the smiles for the girls Halloween goodies yesterday.
