Look Both Ways

After a dull, wet day, a sudden brightening in the western sky had me rushing out with Meg.  Quickly through the woods and out onto the riverbank path brought us into the fiery glow of the setting sun.  The shaft of light running under the clouds lit the hills thus.   Look the other way in extra pics.

A quiet day.  Not what we expected but in a glance at the address on Jamie's wheelchair clinic letter late last night, we noticed the date on the letter was not what we had on the calendar!   Good job we noticed and avoided a wasted two hour drive to Wrexham.   We don't have dog cover for tomorrow - the new date - so have rearranged for next month.   This gave me time to work on Ruth's disabled facilities grant appeal letter which is now in the post and emailed off.   Emails over the last month requesting more information have not elicited a reply, if we don't hear anything in ten days we'll be making a formal complaint to a higher authority.  It vexes me that people like us have to expend so much time and energy to get these things done properly.

I managed a few minutes in the greenhouse before the dog walk which was nice and now we have Mum and Chris round for dinner.  Baked sponge pudding should be cooked now so I'm off! :-)
