Cupola

The cupola in the booking hall at Waverley Station, Edinburgh. Built between 1892-1902 it's beautifully ornate and not easy to photograph.

Into Edinburgh today with my sister. She was laden with her suitcase and work bag for she is off to Newcastle this afternoon and won't be home till Thursday night. Before we caught our respective trains this afternoon we had a delightful lunch with our uncle and his friend in the Scottish Cafe. A very short walk from and back to Waverley but we were soaked both ways. The rain hasn't let up all day. Miserable weather but a good catch up and much chat.

I hope to get back to regular blip commenting now though I'm out tonight so it could well be tomorrow.
