Inspired by a chat with a pal yesterday evening about his pictures, I decided later to spend some time around Belfast Docks taking some night shots. It was very calm and an unseasonal 15°c. The only sounds were the odd keen of seagulls overhead and footsteps of some crews returning to their ships.

The Jolanta is a Polish-built and Cypriot-registered cargo ship, currently in Belfast to deliver coal. I noticed that she's had a minor bump on her bow at some stage. The area is full of new and old industrial machinery and various types of shipping, which makes for some interesting night shots. Expect some more soon! (Try the Blip LARGE - it's much more atmospheric)
