Baby Ned on a wet morning

I know he will grow up to be another feeder raiding squirrel, but just look at him and all his sweetness . He was buzzing around the old pear tree much to Blaze's dismay and scrounging for seeds under the feeders .

We got much needed rain last night and this morning. A wet iris and a precious squirrel seemed enhanced by the morning dampness. Nora's favorite, the Poet's Narcissus bloomed this morning. In her later years when she couldn't go out as easily, she always instructed me to pick them with the longest stems possible and then she arranged them lovingly in a tall, slender vase.

For the Record,
This day came in dark, gloomy with showers, warmer temps and heavy humidity.
