Tulip Sunset

The sun has set over a tulip field in Grolloo, Drenthe, The Netherlands.

When Ton asked me if I wanted to get out for a sunset shoot, there was no hesitation. I had already decided I needed to get out again for landscape photography so that was an easy call. We decided to drive to the tulip field that Saskia found. We contacted Saskia through Facebook and she decided to come as well. So there you go: an impromptu blipmeet! Thank you Saskia and Ton for a great evening!

One thing worth mentioning about this photo: as the sun had already set, I felt I needed some light on the foreground. I used my SpeedLite (off-camera) for that; I think that worked rather well. Better viewed somewhat bigger!
