catching the rays

Took Mum down to Perth to visit dad who is back in hospital, this time in the city.
Parking is woeful at the hospital so on a gorgeous, sunny and warm day spent a couple of hours down at the 'Cultural Precinct' in Perth before returning to pick her up.
Home to the Art Gallery of WA, Museum, PICA, State Library , urban orchard and a mini wetlands it is a wonderful people...and pigeon....watching spot.
And fascinating it was.

The precinct police and dogs were out promenading with the rest of us, and the waggy tailed Golden Lab decided to make VERY good friends with a fellow who was definitely not quite so waggy tailed at the attention.

This pigeon was well ensconced and not budging for any camera wielding bod and making the most of the rays. And yes he/she was wedged back against the wall with tail feathers fanned against the white, warm stucco.
