Middle Temple Hall 21/12/22

My destination - the MiddleTemple Hall to see Antic Disposition’s performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens. This building is one of the original buildings and has links with both Shakespeare and Dickens.
Shakespeare’s comedy ‘Twelfth Night’  had its very first performance here at Candlemas in 1602. more than 200 years later Charles Dickens gained admission to the Middle Temple as a student in 1839 and remained one until 1855 - the period in which he wrote many of his most popular works, including of course, ‘A Christmas Carol’ in 1843.
