Always inconstant...

By bikeyPete

Gentle bold contrast..

Dark brooding clouds amass on the shoulders of a clear joyous sky, jealous of the bright golden fields, the clouds murmur their malcontent mood. Hedged in cow parsley, white gay heads nodding to the passers by, the oil seed sways in soft round dances ignoring the damp and bitter wind from the clouds at the edge, like a pretty girl lost in the dance while envious more plain girls look on.

Across the fields and over the bridges, smile after smile given fair and even chance upon my face, nature bringing forth joy. Now onto the bike and draw in sweet contagious airs, early Summers sensuous perfume giving heady emotions. The little white foot bridge, with rumbling merry boards, laughed as I nipped across. Standing in diamond draped glistening grass, heads all heavy with dew, the mesmeric dancing of the cow parsley pulling me into another world. Buttercups and daisies nod out the rhythm as the birds sing a chaotic harmony. What joy...what heaven...what peace to find...amongst simple pleasures.

Silly old fool....
