‘Danger - Thin Ice!’
A layer of very thin ice covered most of the pond when I went out for my dawn jog this morning.
Despite the warnings, the goose in the distance insisted on venturing onto it and promptly fell in shortly after!
It was another lovely, crisp morning with a beautiful sky reflected on the ice. On the skyline, behind the trees, are the 50m high clock tower of St Stephen’s Church - it has the longest pendulum in Europe - as well as Arthur’s Seat and Edinburgh Castle.
