The Edge of the Wold

A change of scene

A change from the highlands and the highlanders, I haven't blipped the layers of the Kent estuary for some time. There was just time after dinner for Gus and I to descend the hill to the promenade for a run along the beach as the sun went down. It had been a dismal start to the day, but the cloud cleared and the sun came out in the evening. The gulls were gathering on the golden sands.

Otherwise, an uneventful day. we are still waiting news from Salisbury, where Edward and Anna are now overdue for the arrival of their baby, which will make me a great-uncle (or is it a grand-uncle?) and my Dad a great grandfather.
