Thursday 16 May 2013: First Columbine of 2013

Took a few pictures on my way to work that didn't work. Work was very tedious and unproductive. I took this picture on the way home. It's a columbine of some sorts, probably a cultivated variety that has escaped (Aquilegia vulgaris). These flowers are my favourites - though I like the dark ones best all of them are great fun and I think there should be more of them in the world!

Today I decided that as I have a new camera I need to be able to import the images into GIMP to process. I downloaded the latest version of dcraw and ufraw from their respective sources, read the instructions and compiled them to binary and then installed them. The latest version of dcraw can process my camera's raw files but it's not yet part of Debian so until it is I'm using my own copy.
