Quicksilver

A trip to the dump to start before a tidy up of the boat, turning it from less of a workshop to more of a seventies drinking saloon.
Later, yet another film, up at Everyman - by invite only (if you reply to their email quickly enough) - and for some reason it is free. With free drinks and popcorn. The place is full of course. I’ve no idea why this is. Does AppleTV+ think people will take out subscriptions on the back of it (there are no trailers or adverts though)? Anyway, the film was Tetris. Yes indeed, a film about the murky derring-do of video game licensing in the collapsing USSR. A bit flabby around the middle but an entertaining enough load of nonsense.
But blimey, coming out the cinema, can it be true? Twenty minutes to go and Scotland are beating Spain 2-0? I had to jump off the 16 bus and run! All the way to Robbie’s Bar. And it was true. One particularly delirious supporter was moved to regularly shout abuse about Spain's famous paella. Cosmopolitan Leith. Back in the day if I’d seen pizza written down I hate to think how I may have pronounced it.
