Lilies

Well, without all the personal expense and hassle of moving, my address has changed.

Many centuries ago, Penrith was the county town of Cumberland. I was born in the county and, apart from studying I have lived in this part of the country all my life. In 1974 we changed to being inhabitants of Cumbria.

This morning those of us over a certain line across a map find that we are living in Westmorland and Furness. So Penrith has been lined up by parliament with Kendal and Barrow.

The rest of Cumbria also got a new name. Guess what? Cumberland!

Anyhow, some things haven't changed. My love of lilies. This was from the bouquet given to me this week.
