Snow Bunting

I cycled along to Tankerness to visit Long Ayre (a raised shingle beach enclosing a lagoon) to try a new wide angle lens. II will avoid it soon because arctic terns nest there, but they haven't arrived in Orkney yet. It was nice to see a couple of snow buntings. They should be en route to breed in Iceland or Norway. A few nest in the Highlands. I have, twice, seen one in Orkney collecting nesting material, but they aren't recorded as breeding here. Couple of shots in extras.
