Banquet...

...of worms. With all the rain we have had of late there are many parks and gardens "floating" on boggy ground. This brings worms and other protein to the surface and the city's birds have a feast. There were black backed gulls, red bill gulls, paradise ducks, starlings, blackbirds, dunnocks (hedge sparrows), oystercatchers and a few pairs of common ducks all with heads down and tails shaking as they gorged themselves. I counted over 200 birds and there were many more in groups around the this playing field.
