Friday: Seed Sowing - Phase 1

Another chilly day, wind easterly but ok sheltered behind the house. Started off some of my Cottage Garden Seed Swap seeds - reusing compost “rescued” from last years pots mixed with some vermiculite which I bought in bulk many years ago.

Radish “Munchen Bier” which I grew many years ago, https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2260111 , edible pods which are very tasty :-)

Cosmos and calendula have become “must haves” every summer - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2746855527400083402 and https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2050317636117464203 - they are tough little plants, once they’ve grown past the seedling stage … fingers crossed here!


Rain arrived as forecast around 1pm but didn’t last very long - the garden could do with a few hours of heavy rain right now …

Watched “Gardeners World” and “Have I Got News for You” this evening and trying to stay awake until bedtime …
