Male Rufous Sided Towhee

This morning we shopped for creatures. First we stopped at the vets to get the kitties' favorite treats, Pit R Pats. We had to take a circuitous route as the Ski to Sea parade happened to coincide with our usual route. Then we went to the Farmer's Coop and bought the last parts of our new bird scene on the deck. Now we have a large bird feeder, a finch feeder, a suet holder and two humming bird feeders. We also moved the bird bath from the back garden where it never got used, onto the deck. We filled all the feeders with fresh food and immediately a little chickadee christened the larger feeder. A hummingbird came to check out the two feeders. I think they passed inspection. Then the towhee arrived to walk on the deck railing and assure himself that we were still putting out his favorite food there. Yes, we are, and he seems quite glad about that.
