Wait for meeeeee!

We set off for our expedition to the Grampians today - but instead of leaving at 9.30 am, we didn't get away until 12 mid day.

In retrospect not at all a good move.

We stopped off at a picnic place on the Murray at Tailem Bend to watch the punt which crosses from Tailem Bend to Wellington. (We call them punts - you might know them as ferries).

There was a fair bit of bird life but these two geese would have to be escapees, and good for them. This way their chances of ending up on a dinner table are somewhat diminished!

Let me give you all a tip. If you have to drive through the Grampians, do your very best to do it in daylight. That way, it's easier to avoid the dirty great big kangaroos which seem to be everywhere.

We didn't have an accident, but there were one or two near misses.

Today's drive comes under the "never again" banner.
