Monongahela Incline

Jill and I got brunch at Tupelo Honey in Pittsburgh. She'd visited the location in Arlington, Virginia, and loved it, and she wanted to stop at this one before going to Kennywood to process our season passes and visit the amusement park

After eating, we went to the Monongahela Incline, a funicular that runs up a 370-foot (112-meter) hill at 35 degrees. This one has been in operation since 1870. There's only one other in the city; there used to be 19. It was fun. The views at the top were great (see extras).

Visiting the amusement park was fun as well. It was rainy most of the day, so that kept crowds away. Our rides were a little wet, but that was totally fine. The skies cleared for our last hour there.
