Sally Mair - Loving life

Pickle's person

Thanks for the good wishes over the last few days, apart from my mouth being uncomfortable, hopefully made worse by stitches which will be coming out in a couple of days, I'm fine. I had very bad dental treatment in my early teens and I'm now having to have things put right. After a lot of angst, I had 3 sets of roots removed which were no longer fit for anything. I then had 4 implants put in. The top posts and final crowns will come over the next few months. I'm very glad I was able to have it all done under a general anaesthetic.
I can't understand how on earth people can bear to do such things if they don't have to. The bruising on my chin is still quite spectacular so I haven't ventured out in public yet. To be honest I haven't really felt like it. Hopefully though, this is a permanent solution
Ali and Josie came round again today, they'd met up with Katy and the girls at Saughton Park first thing. Josie was inheriting a scooter which they'd kept for her. She's 20 months now, hard to believe how time has passed, they all scooted together around the paths of the park while it was still quiet, suitable helmets in use at all times!
Josie is at the stage of picking up all the photos in our lounge and naming all the people in them. Eilidh was apparently thrilled today that Josie really knew who she was and greeted her by name. I'm so glad they all live near enough to socialise like that.
Pickle is still staying here with us, Josie is very fond of her and Pickle is so very gentle with her. It's lovely to see them together.
I can't let Cleo in the same room as the children as I can't trust her not to scratch them. It's very sad, I think she's frightened by the unpredictability of children and is protecting her space here.
UC this evening but I'm not sure whether I've the energy to watch it.
