cut…

…glass

miniature pitcher

in deep green

dates to the - early 1920’s and - being cut glass - and green is - really more of depression - glass era than anything - but purists enjoy - stick with calling it - by its traditional - name of cut glass - and staying away - from the other nuances - which can be included

for me, i like to - encompass it all because - i think it’s important - to be inclusive when - it comes to antiques - whether big or tiny - and this pitcher happens - to be on the - tiny side of things - close to about - an inch and a half high - maybe just that wide - not including the handle - the thing with cut glass - is that it is - more ornate than other - glasses of the times - and being colored - you can see all - the wonderful intricacies - of the cuttings

it’s truly a work of art - more for display - than for use - makes me smile anytime - i look at it - for it’s one of - the last pieces i - found during an - antique hunt with - my sister and so - it clearly leads to…

a

happy day…..
