Lingy Hut

Back on the Wainwright trail again today, we drove round the far side of Skiddaw to Mosedale and walked from there. Covered 14.2 miles - 32,000 steps, but only 2,400 feet of climbing. It was a long route, but the conditions were gorgeous, all the bogs (and it is a notorious route for bogs) were bone dry. The pic is of the Lingy Hut Bothy on the Cumbria way - I rather liked the stark nature of it in the landscape, and the cables holding it down for windy days!

Covered:

Carrock Fell: 40/214
High Pike (Caldbeck): 41/214
Knott: 42/214
Great Calva: 43/214

We were so exhausted at the end of the walk, we had to drop into the Old Crown pub at Hesket Newmarket for a restorative pint.

Definitely a couple of days rest after that!

Have finally broken the £1,000 - worth of sponsorship - £3,000 to go!
