Calculating BMI

Running rest-day, today ...

... I've had several people ask why I list 'height/weight' on my actual running-days? Well, although my height will (probably??) not change over the course of the next year, I'm optimistic my weight will - and 'both combined' give the ability to quickly calculate my BMI (body-mass index). There are several simple 'calculators' on the web.

Using such a calculator, its easy to see I'm overweight at the moment - and I'm hoping to rectify that as part of the ongoing training over coming months!

So - here's a picture of my basic, but effective, scales (alongside my running-shoes!) on which I'm monitoring my weight; and thus my BMI :-)

Back to a running-day tomorrow.
