Baptism. Lumix M4/3 14mm

Some weeks ago, I brought up the subject of The Great North American Shower Sh--show  It's finally over:  This week, the walls surrounding the shower cubicle were mudded in to blend old and new together, and everything freshly painted.  With time, the terrible experience dealing with the contractor will fade, and we'll have a shower that will see us into our dotage.  And once everything had dried properly, I took a first shower, to test the waters, as it were.

As I was mulling this story, and baptism, I remembered Johann Sebastian Bach's cantata, BWV 7,  Christ unser Herr zum Jordan kam - Christ our Lord is Come to Jordan.  It was composed in 1724, Bach's second year as Cantor at the Thomaskirche, and coincides with the Feast of St John the Baptist.  It's most definitely worth a listen to hear how The Master interweaves Martin Luther's text with exquisite music depicting the flow of the waters of the Jordan.  It's cleansing.
