Slow dance on Leith Walk

You'd think they'd realise that if you make what was a four lane road which also had two lanes of parking into a two lane road plus two dedicated lanes for trams and an extra wide central reservation, that you might have problems, but no! Not only the above but they've also widened the pavements put in a twisty cycle lane and intermittent parking bays too.
In this shot the tram in the distance is stationary on this side of the road, the tram on the right is stationary on the same side of the road on the same track, the bus has a huge queue of traffic behind it as it can't get through the gap between the tram and the parked cars. After about 5 mins the furthermost tram started moving towards us(on the wrong side of the road) then cut across the central reservation and carried up on the other side of Leith Walk. The nearer tram then moved forward down Leith Walk onto the space the other tram had been in and all the other traffic was finally free to move. In the meantime another tram had come up Leith Walk on the track on the other side of the road. Don't know what was going on. Welcome to Edinburgh.
Today it rained and I got wet, several times! It was nice and warm though as well as wet. I picked up my newly MOT'd car. Drove to Ali's to return her purse which she'd put into my handbag yesterday and had forgotten to take out again. Did some shopping with Ali, went to pick up the older two(very wet) granddaughters from their activity club at Fettes, took them home and cooked their dinner. Well actually I only peeled and cooked the veg and warmed up the lasagne their mum had cooked last night and left ready to be heated up in the oven.
Had a nice chat and a look at the French holiday snaps with elder daughter. Came home and ate then spent the evening watching Bettany Hughes (who can be rather irritating I find) enjoying MY India.
when I counted I got wet 4 times today, should have taken a jacket with me.
Thanks for the sympathy for my neck yesterday, it seems much better today.
