Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2023 Tuesday — to be Alive

We’ve had a lovely delightful day. I told Mr. Fun that I wanted to go to several thrift stores and I wanted to start with the big Achievement House store at the Cuesta College campus. It’s a large building and always fun to walk thru the place. Today in their kitchen department I found several 50¢ items. Mr. Fun found a few things too so we both exited feeling victorious.

Across the freeway from the college is the Dairy Creek Golf Course. We went there to see if their restaurant was open for lunch. We enjoyed their Taco Tuesday special and were thrilled to find a dining location away from the current fog of the coast and yet not too far inland to be exposed to the higher temperatures. The overwhelming heat of the Inland and the cold waters of the Pacific combine into a refreshing cool veil of moisture but the obstructed view as well as the dull gray can be dreary.

We had a couple other stops on our way back to the house — at the small Achievement House store in Morro Bay, I found the seashell lace material that we’re planning to use for a craft project in the future.

Getting out of the house and away from the fog was good.

From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
